Denzel & Pauletta Washington were seen outside of the Metropolitan Hotel. They could’ve done a better job at coordinating their attire, but we digress….Jay-Z the Camel was also spotted in London leaving 17 Berkeley Street on alleged GQ related business. Pics of that event are just below.

The stars came out in full force to attend Nelson Mandela’s birthday dinner in Hyde Park, London, today. Denzel Washington was joined by Oprah, Will & Jada, and many more to help usher in Mandela’s 90th birthday.
On a sour note, according to the NY Daily News, Naomi Campbell, who has claimed Mandela is her “honanrary grandfather”, won’t be appearing onstage during an AIDS fundraising event that will go down on Friday. Here’s why:
“The concert, to celebrate Mandela’s upcoming 90th birthday, will raise funds for the 46664 AIDS charity organized by the revered figure. The five-digit number was Mandela’s inmate ID during his 27 years in prison under apartheid. Mandela was upset because Campbell was arrested for assaulting two police officers while wearing a baseball cap with the 46664 logo. Mandela felt the arrest was at odds with his charity’s goals,”

Here’s some random news from the world of Denzel:
“Denzel Washington might be better with a gun than a champagne bottle. The ‘American Gangster’ star ordered some bubbly at Rivington 151 the other night. ‘And the server couldn’t open it, so Denzel tried,’ said our onlooker. ‘He couldn’t open it either, but when he handed it back, the cork popped right in the server’s face.’ The waiter was so starstruck he barely felt, let alone complained of, any injuries.”
Yeah - and we’re pretty sure that waiter probably saw dollar signs after getting busted in the grill. To be on the safe side, we recommend Denzel contact his esquire, ASAP.
