Ice Cube and Lebron James Link up for TV Project

With Cube’s on screen experience, this could be interesting:
Legendary rapper Ice Cube and basketball phenom Lebron James have reportedly joined forces for the development of a one-hour drama for ABC.
According to The Plain Dealer, the forthcoming show will be based around the Cleveland Cavs star’s experiences as a black high school student playing in a small town.
It is slated to debut next fall. For Ice Cube, it’s his third television project. In 2006, he produced a FX reality show called “Black.White,” and has signed on as an executive producer for an upcoming cop comedy series for NBC.
This should be a good afternoon special for the pre-teens and teenagers. We like what Cube does on the big screen, but we’re not quite sold on this one just yet. What Bossipers think about this one?

I love Ice Cube and although I am not a big Lebron fan I am happy for them both especially Mr. Oshay he has really come a long way. There should be nothing but positive things in this thread these are two young black men who came from the hood and did something better with their lives.

The show seems like Friday Night Lights with basketball instead of football. My first thought is that it will be boring but I’ll check it out. I want to see more black people on network TV.
