I am the only person I know who does not don a tattoo. I think the tat itself is nice, pretty sexy. It’s not a boyfriends name or a street so I don’t really classify it as ghetto, it’s more edgy chic like Rhianna’s stars on her neck. But to each her own. I am just amazed that a video vixen is trying to clean up her appearance, looks fantastic and something negative has to be said, “Oh she looks beautiful, and her body is covered, but her tat is ghetto” Whatever

How many people with real jobs got laid off last month. Keeping it real is that you are not going to get rich working for someone else. And if you do have a comfortable salary you may be filing for unemployment next month. But people who own their own business and have careers outside of the box are not feeling the recession like the rest of us. A few grand a photoshoot is just as lucrative as 35K a year answering phones 9-5. I live in California and 2 out of 3 of my last employers had tattoos, big noticeable tattoos, just keeping it real.

Tatoos are so popular now I don’t think it matters as far as employment is concerned. As the baby boomers are being replaced in the ranks by generation X, the chances are growing that the person interviewing you will be tatted up. I think as time goes on, it will become less and less of an issue. It surely is not a “ghetto” thing. White folks been into tatoos long before it became vogue in our community. Personally I don’t have a problem with them. I just wish people would stop getting things like chinese lettering that they HOPE says what they think it does.
