A judge has ruled in favor of No Cent - this time:
Rapper 50 Cent can keep using his lawyer Brett Kimmel after beating a bid from ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins to have him thrown off the case. Tompkins - who the star is battling over a home he owns, and she lived in until it was burned down earlier this year - claimed Kimmel had a conflict of interest, because she attempted to hire him to represent her during her child support battle with 50 Cent three years ago.
But Kimmel and the rapper - who has an eleven year old son, Marquis, with Tompkins - successfully argued the two cases are unrelated and that Kimmel never had an attorney-client relationship with her. New York judge Carol Edmead has thrown out the bid. 50 Cent is attempting to overturn a court decision to freeze insurance money on the New York house.
Unlike the Simmons’, this is one couple who doesn’t seem to mind exposing their son to the full brunt of their insanity. Bugsy ought to break Shaniqua off properly and cease with all this damned drama already.
Update: According to OK Magazine No Cents is trying to get custody of young Marquis:
“I’m going to try and get him when I go to court on the 17th,” he [said]. “I’ll see if I can get him.”

Damon Dash and the mother of his oldest son are having issues:
Linda Williams claims that 16-year-old son Damon Dash II, aka “Boogie,” says he was “living with not hot water [sic] or electricity for two months in his bedroom,” and that Damon took him to the morgue to ID an uncle who committed suicide by gunshot to the head. Worst of all, Damon didn’t spring for $3,600 for hoops camp. Williams says Damon has been cagey over a promise to put $10 mil in trust for the kid.
No hot water or electricity? She can’t possibly be serious…

Yeah right, how would she explain wanting to double 25K worth of child support? If she’s not a gold digger, she’s just greedy ass broad. SMH.

This time the culprit is the late Gerald Levert’s brother Sean:
The brother of late crooner Gerald Levert sentenced to prison for not paying child support. Sean Levert will spend the next 22-months behind bars. Levert owes $85,427.68 in back child support for his three children - ages 11, 15 and 17. Levert was sentenced Monday by Judge Nancy Margaret Russo. He did not speak at his sentencing.
That’s a lot of paper to owe, especially since those checks from being in the group LeVert stopped coming in in the late 80’s.
Janel Bennett, who was in an eight-year relationship with Winans before she had her son, Jordan, claims she was evicted from her home in Miami because Winans won’t pay child support. She states she is “homeless and living with friends on the South Side of Chicago,” where she works as a cocktail waitress. A DNA test shows a ‘99.99 percent probability’ that Winans is the biological parent. Mario Winans is obligated to pay Janel Bennett $4,500 per month due on the first of each month as child support. Bennett says, “He hasn’t paid me. I just wanted support, and I was on disability and Medicaid and welfare just to have the baby. His current girlfriend, Joy — the mother of his toddler daughter, Sklyar — is known publicly as his “wife.” Bennett said, “Joy lives in a 16-bedroom mansion and her daughter wears mink coats and Seven jeans, and my son doesn’t have boots to wear in the winter.” Continue »
We are hearing rumors that Cleveland Cavalier guard Larry Hughes has fathered a child with actress Sundy Carter (State Property):
Since 2005, Sundy Carter maintained an exclusive relationship with Larry Hughes without knowledge of his current marriage and 3 children until she advised him of her pregnancy last year. Since their 4-month child was born, Mr. Hughes refuses to take responsibility and care for the child even though the DNA test proves he is the father.
All that paper that dude makes, he could at least break her off a little something.
