    Valenne…

You said she’s beauiful which I agree…very beautiful, but what do you mean by dark skin and all?

  9. da darkness

    she’s a pirate lol

  10. Aunt Viv

She’s very pretty (with a job!). I hope she takes the fashion world by storm…

  11. Kigali (Black females defend the weave like their new born!!!)

She is cute. Alot darker than this photo suggest.

  12. Raquel26

@Nina Knows……I was thinking the same question! It sounds like…”She’s prety for a dark skinned girl because most dark-skinned girls arent pretty”.

To me, its the other way around. True, all of our shades are gorgeous…..but, I definitely think that darker-skinned women look better than lighter-skinned women. Thats just my personal opinion.

Just because you’re light, does not make you cute. I’ve seen some oogly light-skinned sistas!

    Anyway….Arlenis is BEAUTIFUL. Period.

  13. LADY ARCHITECT (DOING BIG THINGS AT 23)

Arlenis is very pretty natural hair and all. I glad she didn’t go straightening her hair and making it lighter for the photos.

  14. num1dominicano

    viva Dominicana….Dominicana…

  16. Makes me so proud to see a fellow beautiful Dominican woman doing her thing. She’s a beauty and I am so glad that she’s representing Dominican beauty to the world [claps]

  17. Baby Girl

I love this picture of her she is a very pretty “BLACK WOMAN” END OF STORY!…Yes, black people come in all shades and colours and sizes we all know that! We as black women are beautiful sometimes people try to put black women with a lighter complexion on the fore-front…Beyonce, Rhianna so that they are more accepted by the white race but none the less please know we are all BEAUTIFUL!….I could talk allday about this but i wont!…Peace and Love!

  18. da darkness

@bossip who shot and killed themselves live on the web?

  19. Nina Knows

    Raquel26….

My thoughts exactly. That’s how I took it as well. You can always count on a nigga to point out some ignorant bullshit. The girl is beautiful peroid. I think her skin is beautiful. and I’m with you I’m totally the other way around with it too.

SMH.. why dis-credit her beauty by saying “dark skin an all” that was some ignorant, self hating bullshit for real. I dont know if that was some half ass compliment, but it was utterly stupid. what a fucking dumbass.

  20. BE

Oh my she is lovely!! She took a nice classy picture!

  21. NIKKI UNDERWOOD

    Exxon300…

  23. shes cute, love the natural hair

  24. Royal Chocolate

We all know dark skin is the original beauty.

  25. blaq,

    Hey Nina

Thanks for the post the other day, I really appreciate the compliment.

When was the last time Bossip posted a picture of a darkskinned banger? I went to the sister site Lossip and you see maybe twice as many dark skinned models as on Bossip. It is up to us to demand diversity and embrace our beauty.

    @ Val

I’m sure you were remarking at the lack of appreciation of dark skinned women.

  26. Nitro like WHOA!!!

WOW! Arlenis is shittin all over kat de luna lol

  27. Naija Gal

FINALLY, a real beauty instead of your regular run-of-bin, tig o’ bittied, sloppy pin-up girl!

    Yeah for natural beauty!!

  28. Nina Knows

    blaq… your welcome!! Happy Friday.

after looking, I see that might have been what she meant. But it was very poor choice of words I guess. But nonetheless I’ve heard that “cute for a dk black girl” comment oh too many sick times.

  29. Doc

thats right Dominican pride Bella LATINA =NEGRA=BELLEZA

  30. Kigali

Here we go. Yes this girl is fine. Why does her complexion have to be an issue? Why the hell do we even have to acknowledge that dark skinned women can be attractive and then we have to have some pity party about how dark skinned women arent being recognized for their beauty.

  31. blaq,

    @ Kigali

you are the one who posted that she is darker than the photo suggest so why does it have to be considered a pity party because we appreciate the beauty of a woman who traditionally have not been recognized.

  32. Darkesthourglass

I love the hair. I’m trying to grow my natural out like that.

  33. Kigali (Black females defend the weave like their new born!!!)

    @blaq,

I brought up her complexion not in relation to her beauty but the fact that in other photos she is much darker. They obviously lightened her up here.

  34. Kigali (Black females defend the weave like their new born!!!)

    @Darkesthourglass,

Please grow your hair out and show ass these beweaveable bitches how fine you are NATURAL.

    You’ll look great.

p.s. Shea butter!!! and remember to comb your hair from the tips and work your way up. Your hair should be moist. Our hair is oftentimes susceptible to breakage especially when dry. Go luck sistah.

  35. Tony

She looks just like Halle Berry.

  36. Darkesthourglass

@Kigali (Black females defend the weave like their new born!!!)

I just got tired of the relaxers and RARELY do weaves (braids). Right now I’m using Carol’s Daughter products and it is growing out since I cut it in August. That hair of hers is wicked! Love it.

  37. Kigali (Black females defend the weave like their new born!!!)

    @Darkesthourglass,

I can tolerate braids. They are atleast ethnically sensitive but the weaves are just too NUFU: Not Us or For Us.

Watch this and other You Tube clips and see all these wonderful hair styles you can do.

  41. Valenne

    oki

im dark skin myself and im happy to see one beautiful dark skin represented in the media, fashion etc…

    that was all!

  42. Encyclopedia Brown

You people act like you never seen a model before

  43. Tony

It so sad to here young people saying or (implying) negitive comments about skin color, ie; “she’s beautiful, dark skin and all”- or “I’m dark skin myself….”,
