Donell had a promising career had a good label been backing him. “Where I Wanna Be” was the shyt. That song alone single handedly helped me through a 5 year break-up. Ladies if you’ve been with a man for years, and out of the blue he starts acting out or being distant and tells you he needs time to himself. Listen to that CD, especially that song. It HELPS.
He needs to be in the damn studio!

This dude is definately the must underrated artist of all time. I mean shit the boy goes hard (No Homo)! “Where I Want to Be” and “Journey of a Gemni” was the shit. Word of advice, go on tour even open up for the likes of Beyonce or A-Keys, perform at smaller venues like House of Blues..! Just a suggestions! The game needs you!

I absolutely LOVE this guy; one of my favorite artists. Terribly UNDERpromoted, yet he has a serious cult following! It’s a shame labels won’t promote his work properly. But apparently, it’s happening to all the R&B greats… Joe, Calvin Richardson, etc.. Great idea from the person who said he needs to open on tour for Alicia Keys or an artist of that caliber. People would truly be checking for him then.

The “Where I Wanna Be Album”? It’s all about the “My Heart” album! Classic early 90’s R&B, which a lot of these young folk don’t know about…
Sucks that he never crossed mainstream and stayed relevant like Mary J. Blige. Closest he got was “U Know What’s Up? It actually sucks that a lot of quality R&B acts never crossed over to 2002 and beyond, Boyz II Men, Blackstreet, Shai, etc.
Only peeps representing quality R&B right now is Jaheim, Alicia Keys, Musiq (even though he’s been slipping off as of late)

This guy is NO JOKE!! He is my favorite male artist period! His voice, and his talent are unbeliveable…and those lips DAMN!
I love all of Donells albums,ITA he is the most underated r And b singer and needs to do more to promote himself.I have however seen him twice in concert and his perfomances were terrible!His DJ was much more lively that him,dude looked so tired.
