Macy Gray was seen wandering around the BlackBerry Storm launch event probably looking for her grocery cart. She looks like the type that will set the house on fire because she can’t find the cap to her favorite furry Hello Kitty pen. Two points for the Bossiper who can explain how this woman keeps getting movie roles.

She’s from Canton Ohio, never been there, but I don’t know if it’s considered a Ghetto. She also graduated from USC in 1990 so I cant say she’s hood, at least not the hood I know.
How does she keep getting movie roles? You audition, if they like you, then you get the role. Plain & simple, the girl can act. She’s in her own world most of the time, but she’s rich. Leave Macy alone.

There are people like Macy Gray, Erykah Badu and even Lauryn Hill, who are over-the-top entertainers…extremely talented in their own right but simply do not find conforming to public opinion as far as they’re style of dress, a priority in any sense of the word.

I stated I don’t ish about Ohio, I’ve from Oakland, and there only one area is considered not the hood, Although it doesn’t really look ghetto out here like it does in LA Chicago and N.O.. lots of us go to college but It’s usually not the type that she played in the movie, I think she’s a good actress you don’t that’s cool.

as quirky she is, she is one hell of an actress. loved her in “shadowboxer” and “lackawanna blues”
I think she gets the roles because she has “inner turmoil” that she is able to pull form…which helps her act a fool on the screen. She isn’t afraid to let it hang all out so to speak. As for the current look…it appears that she may be up to some of her old habits *worried look on face*.

As I was lookin at the movie Shadowboxer last night, I had to admire her acting abilities. She is one of my very favorite. maybe she is not even acting but just doing her, but whatever the case, I love watching her do her thang

Fan of Bruce Springsteen? I’ve always found him to be somewhat of a clumbsy and one dimensional as a songwriter/singer. Bob Seger or John Mellencamp had more of a stronger grasp of the whole blue collar oovre - Though I did enjoy Nebraska.
