This shit breaks my heart but it’s probably true. Last yr May she did a show in NY at the Highline Ballroom. I was her hospitality server and was ordered to keep the Jack D ready. Blake was the ring leader and all her people (manager, PR) were down just living it up. I was crushed. Ive been in love w/ Amy since ‘05 after discovering her on this british show called “Later w/ Jools Holland” she did a a hit on the show called “Stronger” it was off her first album when she was sane and beautiful. A few yrs later her music makes it the us and she’s a dope head. aawwh man. This is a tragic case. I hope she gets better. She’s the real deal but damn drugs can really fuck your shit up.
Shit is she’s actually really shy and humble about her talents. When I meet her I told her how I was her #1 American fan and that her “Frank” album really moved me and that she was amazing. She seemed really surprised to hear me say that gave me a hug and said thank you like 3 times. Drugs can really kill the person inside. I’ve messed w/ weed but after seeing her demise I’m so glad I’ve never tried anything else but weed.
