Model-turned-talk show host Tyra Banks has been branded a ‘phony’ by infuriated audience members who waited more than two hours for her to appear in the talk show studio. The beauty, who won a TV Emmy earlier this year for her daytime chat series, reportedly ignored fans waiting to film the show on last Tuesday in New York while she joked and chatted with staff backstage.
According to New York gossip column Page Six, Banks’ actions further angered the audience as they could hear her laughing behind the stage curtain,. A source tells the publication, “You could hear her going on and on because she was standing right behind the stage curtain. She’s talking and talking. Meanwhile, you have the entire audience waiting almost two hours for the taping to start.”
When Tyra finally made it to the stage, fans were further disappointed by the supermodel’s demeanor, and accused her of acting “so cold” towards them. The source continues, “She leaves us waiting, and everyone is sitting there complaining, and then she comes out and doesn’t say a word about it. She didn’t even say hello, she got right into her script.
“She acted so cold towards everyone. She’s a phony,” the unnamed attendee told Page Six.
The star reportedly further upset the disgruntled audience by having them participate in a poorly organized tribute to black models that required the audience to leave the studio and hit the New York City sidewalks.
“She had the audience prance down the street and then release black balloons. It was so disorganized, people fell over the press outside and almost trampled two little girl,” the source claims.
THE STORY ABOUT TYRA IS TOTALLY TRUE. I WENT TO A TAPING WHEN SHE WAS IN L.A. AND SHE SHE MADE US WAIT FOR ABOUT 2HRS AND THEN HER WORKERS PICK AND CHOOSE WHO THEY WANT TO BE IN THE FRONT ROWS. SHE DIDNT THANK ANY OF THE AUDIENCE FOR WAITING AND COMING AND SHE WHEN ME AND MY GIRLS WAVED AT HER SHE ROLLED HER EYES!!! WE WERE SHOCKED, AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE IM NOT A BIG TYRA FAN ANYMORE AND MAKE SURE TO TELL EVERYONE HOW SHE TREATED HER FANS!!!!

Sorry Juicy J, I’ve been anti-Tyra after watching one taping of her show, where she criticized young girls for sleeping around (they were whorish, I admit), and proceeded to turn EVERYTHING into a story about herself and her momma, and how she’d never do the things they did.

VERY TRUE ABOUT TYRA… I WENT TO HER SHOW TAPING… WE WAITED FORVER AND SHE IGNORED THE AUDIENCE THE WHOOLE TIME AND DURING EVERY BREAK SHE’D RUN BACK STAGE AS IF THE AUDIENCE WAS CONTAMINATED… EVERYONE WAS INSTRUCTED NOT TO TOUCH HER OR THE MIC… CRAZINESS
Celebrities are very different in person. I used to work for a music network and was surprised who was nice and who was phony in person. The ones who were the nicest were Kanye West, Rihanna, and Robin Thicke. They went out of their way to be nice to everyone. The phoniest award goes to Chris Brown. He’s not nice in person.
I don’t believe that Rihanna story… it is a ridiculous lie. If Rihanna is broke then I need to hire her accountant so that I can be “broke” too. lol
Someone is obviously trying to destroy Rihanna, I just hope that she gets smart people around her who have her best interest in mind.

LOS ANGELES — LeRoi Moore, saxophone player for the Dave Matthews Band, died Tuesday of injuries suffered in an accident on an all-terrain vehicle in June. He was 46.
Moore died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles, the band said on its Web site.
He was initially hospitalized in late June after the accident on his farm outside Charlottesville, Va. He had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin physical rehabilitation when complications forced him back into the hospital Sunday.
It was not immediately clear what the complications were. A message left with Hollywood Presbyterian was not immediately returned.
Ambrosia Healy, the band’s publicist, says the group’s show Tuesday night in Los Angeles has not been canceled.
