Ludacris and His Big Mouth

Posted by Bossip Staff

Ludacris has received some heavy criticism over the lyrics of his new political track, “Politics: Obama is Here.” Unfortunately, Obama is catching some heat in the process:

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama has condemned an endorsement song from Ludacris, in which the Atlanta MC criticizes rivals Hillary Clinton and John McCain.

The song “Politics: Obama Is Here” contains celebratory bars on Obama’s success (“The first is destined and it’s meant to be”), but turns venomous when Obama’s rivals are addressed.

Ludacris references the bitter Democratic primary battle by stating “Hillary hated on you/So that b**ch is irrelevant.”

Regarding Republican nominee John McCain, the rapper rhymes:

“McCain don’t belong in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed/ Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped/ Ball up all of his speeches and I throw ‘em like candy wrap.”

Through his campaign team, Senator Obama released a statement condemning the song as offensive and typical of much of Hip-Hop’s current lyrical content. “As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” explained spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”

The rap has also drawn the wrath of WomenCount, a new organization co-founded by former Rock The Vote President/political commentator Jehmu Greene.

“It is another example of hateful, sexist language being used on the campaign trail, and now is our moment to make it clear: not on our watch!” stated Rosemary Camposano, Communications Director, WomenCount PAC. “The leadership of both parties must step up to condemn such hateful speech and demand apologies. The Obama campaign has criticized the lyrics, but we call on the presumptive party nominee, who is the celebrated subject of the new song, to go even further: Publicly condemn the song. Demand an apology on behalf of the targets. Now.”

Given Obama’s ethics and integrity, this was not a smart move on Ludacris’ behalf, but we’re sure our man Barack will be able to weather the storm.

    LUDACRIS IS AN ASSHOLE…HE HAS NO RIGHT TO DISRESPECT THAT WOMAN LIKE THAT, AND HE DOES NOT STOP WITH HILLARY HE USES IT ON BLACK WOMEN ALSO, HE’S A FOOL, A PRICK, I’M SO SICK OF THESE MEN WHO THINK THEY CAN DISRESPECT WOMEN.

    AND IF BARACK WASN’T RUNNING WE WOULD ALL BE VOTING FOR HILLARY, I REMEMBER WHEN BLACKS LOVED HER, IT’S A COMPETITIVE GAME WHY HATE.

    Though the song is true many rappers and people who speak out to the media have to be careful with their words, but rap is free speech. It was a smart move for Obama to condemn it because he’s not about this he’s more about change. I do agree with Luda’s rhyme though, but maybe he should’ve kept that on like an underground type thing.

  13. sweet_lies

    why should obama have to make any comments in relation to a random rap song that happens to involve him??? just because we’re black we all know each other and we’re all in cahoots???

    if he says anything he should say - “it’s america, we have freedom of speech. i don particularly like the song, but it’s not like i wrote it!”

    this is racism. did mccain make a statement about the curious george/obama shirts? no- because he had nothing to do with it!

    I’m so ashamed of Luda on da realz though, he know better. We are trying to show the world we are NOT ignorant, and he just perpetuating it. It’s fine to have an opinion, but he shoulda kept it to himself instead of disparaging other ppl.

  22. Doagae

    Damn Luda…almost had some respect for him….Big Boi’s song is much better….

  23. free

    i’m very surprised at luda. i thought he was becoming way more mature. same old, same old.

  24. Erm…much luv…how are you today

  25. DDub

    When I first heard that song I knew it wasn’t going to be helpful at all. Someone in his circle should have known better. First, he should have been thinking commercially and especially since he was endorsed by Obama. He should have not used any cursing at all nor should he have disparaged Hillary. Though she caused a lot of bad blood during the primary, she’s endorsed Obama and has helped raised millions for his run–so she’s on our side now.

    Politics is touchy at the moment. Though the song itself is soft in hip hop terms its still hard edge in the mainstream world. Luda should come out against his own song and claim that he actually recorded it during the primaries and doesn’t harbor any ill feelings towards Clinton.

    He should also acknowledge McCain’s war hero status–before ripping into his wack policies. Just my political 2 cents.

  26. Ermy Erm

    IJM!! JUST SAYIN!! NIKKSTER!! :)

    My coworker had just walked in and told me about this because I hadnt heard about it, and my whole opinion of Luda has changed. It’s just so danggone disrespectful to Barack

    ———————————————–

    i agree 100%. while i value the freedom of speech and think that censorship = death. he should know that what he says might jepardize obamas campaign since all the haters just looking for a reason to start some b.s.

  32. And.....(with 5 dots)

    We don’t need white folks to try to break Obama down. We are doing a fine job at doing it ourselves! If Luda wanted to make a political statement in a song, he should have showed some class about it. Maybe Nas could him to write the next one.

  33. No no no Bossip, Obama likes that song, he rocks it in his ride from time to time…he just can’t let ppl know….

    …just kiddin’. But isn’t that was artists do, express their opinions? Why must Obama be underfire for this anyway? Did he call Luda and ask him to write this track?

  34. Y'all Play 2 Much...

    Luda REALLY should have put more thought into his lyrics…he could’ve gotten his message across without being so disrespectful. and he ought to know Obama doesn’t stoop to the level of disrepecting folk…

  35. This has been my fear since Barack started running…I KNEW they would look at everything every black man does from that point till the election to try and squeeze Obama for responsibility….and this goes to show that ones actions affects others even if you are not directly connected to those actions…every time a black man does something stupid they lean over to Obama and ask what’s up with your people?…..it makes them question whether or not they trust one of us to lead…which is all bullshit…but it is what it is….that’s why I try to represent on a whole ova notha….cause I know for every body that gets whatever impression i’m trying to put out….they understand that I cant be the only one that stand walk talk and act like a real man…..black people rise up…get some pride….handle your business …and lets make these moves…to hell with stayin low ..keepin it real….bein hood …and holdin it down…..up up up..let’s do this!!!

    I wish people shut the hell up already and let this man get into office and THEN they can run they mouth. Some people are so ignorant to the fact that less is more, Obama don’t need you to speak on his behave if it’s going to negatively impact him or his opponents. They are looking for anything to block Obama from office and these idiots are making it easier for them to do it.

  41. Wyzepro….goodmornin! One more day til Firday… ;-)

  43. CUTIE PIE

    its just politics…that’s obama’s jam… he and luda were most likely laughing it up over the song while sippin on rum and coke but we understand obama ::wink, wink::

  44. delarocka

    i think these artist/rappers is taking this election for a joke - its the frist black man who might or might not become the president of america - and some people is taking way too far - its like a circus the way they are going about campaigning for obama - its just negeative energy comming from all across the board

  45. shelly

    Why does Obama has to be held responsible for what LUDACRIS said??? It’s freedom of speech. Come on!

  46. So, Patrick Schwayze (or however this guy’s name is spelled) should be underfire because a bunch of rappers love referencing him in their music? I know Obama is a presidential candidate, so it’s on another level, but this is unessecary. Obama should NOT be associated with everyone who speaks his name.

  47. Unecessary, spell check.

  48. bree

    Ludacris should know better..this is the only country where a black man is HELD responsible for another persons statements/actions/views..i am glad Obama addressed it, but with today’s media, he didn’t have much option! fuckers!

  49. meleemel

    Thank You Bossip, for placing this info on the site. After I saw the foolishness on CNN last nite, I rushed to my computer to see if you guys had anything posted about this idiot azzhole Luda!!! I was rivid at this punk showing his ignorance and placing this garbage for the world to see. I was totally embarrassed and outraged!!! I only had to wonder if Luda is a sellout or Uncle Tom to put Obama in a situation such as this. Whatever he feels about the others he mentioned, could have waited until this election was over. Just like a typical loud mouth black person….always running their damn mouth at the f’g time!!!!!!!!!! If Obama loses this election, trust me….I’m placing some of the blame on this trick azz Ludacris!!!!!!!!!!!

  50. Ermy Erm

    I dont know what or when it will happen, but my gut is telling me there is gonna be an uprising and not a good one. All these ppl with negative remarks just need to sit back and let it do what it do.

    When its your time to speak, do it with a vote. I mean free speech is cool, but be wise when you speak in a public arena where someone else can be disparaged for your remarks. Stop perpetuating the ignorance that so many ppl already think runs rampant in the black community. Show how educated and how far we have come as a society by respecting each other. Respect begets respect. Do unto others.

    Now yall know if a white guy wrote a song about Obama ppl would be all up in arms and Luda probably would be the first one to be like OH HELL NA!

    I find it ironic that his name describes his behavior…smh…Se la gare

  51. checkoutmystatus

    This track was ment for RAP/HIP HOP fans. We understand lyrical imagery and can see meaning behind some lyrics. Exposing this to the world was a mistake cuz people gonna hate on this record.

  52. NU….all i got is twenties….bring my change back

  53. dubya

    I think Obama is under fire for this because he was quoted in Rolling Stone Magazine as saying that Luda was a great talent.

    Whether we agree or disagree with Luda, he has a right to express himself.

    Besides, I’ve heard worse comments about Hillary Clinton on this site than luda’s lyrics. Let’s take a look at the archives and see some of our very own saying even worse about Clinton and McCain.

    As I’ve said before: Obama supporters will cost him the election before his non-supporters will.

  54. Ermy Erm

    Obama is held responsible because just like Wyze said………

    I KNEW they would look at everything every black man does from that point till the election to try and squeeze Obama for responsibility….and this goes to show that ones actions affects others even if you are not directly connected to those actions…every time a black man does something stupid they lean over to Obama and ask what’s up with your people?…..it makes them question whether or not they trust one of us to lead…which is all bullshit…but it is what it is….that’s why I try to represent on a whole ova notha….cause I know for every body that gets whatever impression i’m trying to put out….they understand that I cant be the only one that stand walk talk and act like a real man…..black people rise up…get some pride….handle your business …and lets make these moves…let’s do this!!!

LOL

  57. Mr. Pro….

    Meet me on Stokes Ave. Thats halfway right? Oooohh better yet Cedar in Chagrin….

  58. Lady Architect

    Thanks Wyzepro for the compliment.

    I think the problem with what Luda said was for one it was very offensive and for Obama to have been seen with Luda and saying he likes Luda then yes they will associate Luda with Obama saying is this what Obama really thinks when its not. If someone like Common, Blakthought, Talib, Mos Def, or even Nas did a similar song with the same subject line it would have been completey non offensive, stating facts or smart opinions rather than emotions, and nobody would’ve had a problem. Luda’s delivery of this song was terrible with all the cursing and things. Perfect example of why they criticize hip hop so much today. I wish public enemy would come do a rhyme.

  59. Sharpton's Perm

    Damn, Luda, you think so SMALL.

    you just gave Bill O’Reilly all the ammo he needs to show everyone how ignorant you are on his stupid show.

    good job, jackass

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    @dubya…..that may be true, but BOSSIPERS are not recording artists and nothing we said is being put under Media scrutiny. Free speech is a beautiful thing, but when it hinders the very one you are *trying* to support it backfires.
    Luda should have kept that on the inner brain tip or amongst friends, but no, he had to put it out for the masses to hear. Obama probably at home like damn ppl! Let it do what it do! STOP TRYING TO HELP ME! LOL
  61. YOU *&%#'S TO LAZY TO MAKE UP ISSHH THEY CRAZY, THEY DONT PAINT PICTURES THEY JUST TRACE ME(sxyQblondie)
    WHILE LUDA SHOULD HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY CAREFUL AT THIS POINT IN TIME ESPECIALLY REGARDING HIS LYRICS, THE MEDIA/POLITICIANS AND WHOEVER ELSE, WILL STRIVE TO GIVE OBAMA A HARD TIME ABOUT ANYTHING THEY CAN. UNFORTUNATELY, LUDA IS THE PAWN IN THIS PARTICULAR GAME THIS TIME. IT JUST PROVES THE COUNTRY THAT WE LIVE IN STILL HAS ITS GLITCHES. LUDACRIS IS HIS OWN MAN, OBAMA IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT LUDA CHOOSES TO SAY. OBAMA DIDNT HOLD LUDA DOWN WITH A BUTTER KNIFE AND TELL LUDA TO CALL HILLARY A BITCH. IT’S JUST THAT AT THIS CRITICAL STATE, WITH A BLACK MAN RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, AND HAVING GOTTEN THIS FAR WITH SOOOOOOOOO MANY SUPPORTERS, THEY WILL TRY TO THROW NEGATIVE LIGHT ON HIM ANY WAY THEY CAN.
  62. IJM, Just Sayin’….
    Goodmorning!
  63. dubya
    Freedom of expression is just that–a FREEDOM. Just because Obama is running a campaign does not negate that.
    While you all are going to bat for Obama, when has he gone to bat for you. By you I mean us, African Americans. He has 95% of our vote but we are the only group he has yet to cater to. He can give speeches in countries that can’t even vote, but he can’t take out time to speak at a state of the black union address. He’s made specific and unique promises to Hispanics, Gays, Jews, Working Class whites where are ours? There are unique issues that we as african americans should hold obama to.
    My question is why are the associating everything with Obama? I mean the song was written and made by Chris Bridges. Obama wasn’t in the studio laying stuff down on the track. Obama doesn’t seem to have any dirt they can dig up on him so unfortunately for him it seems like guilt by association. The quickest way to bring yourself down is the have people who support you do it for you. Just shut up and let this all play out. Obama got this….he don’t need our “help”.
  73. meleemel
    Hell…there are plenty of us angry for the way the media is hating on Obama and some of the foul BS they allow to come out of there mouths…we sit and look and go what the F!!! But let’s not give the media and any other Obama haters the reason to throw this man under the bus!! At the end of the day, Luda one would think is a person who should know better!!! His dumb azz is in the SOUTH and if he lives on another planet or something hasn’t his retarded azz not seen how much our race has had to overcome and still overcome to even be considered a Man or a Woman!! We are always having to prove ourselves in one arena or another in this is no different. It is what it is and Luda was wrong!!!!
  82. i disagree…..this blog while black oriented…does not PROVE that the posters/commenters are of african decent..hell I see people frontin in here all the time that are NOT black….so you can NOT take a few post from a site just cause it’s geared towards african americans and say that may represent how most or even some of them think…of all the millions of Black people in the world…bossip sure only has a few ..and they represent themselves and their own thoughts…hell half of us joke and dont take most of this serious…so I cant understand that any more than I would take a news reporters story and translate that into that must be how all white people think….kinda ludacris…aint it?…( pun intended)
    (Check me out!)
    Freedom of expression is just that–a FREEDOM. Just because Obama is running a campaign does not negate that.===================
    And Barack has the freedom NOT to associate himself with speech which is ultimately detrimental to the Bigger Picture. Barack did Luda a service, he big upped him. I understand what Luda was trying to do, he was trying to compliment him, rap style, because Luda was proud of Barack name-checking him as one of his favorite rappers to the world. But Luda had to up his game specifically because of that.
    Luda could not claim on his song that he’s Barack’s favorite rapper — Luda could not name the song after Barack himself — and then talk sh*t about how Hillary is a b*tch and John McCain needs to be paralyzed. This is the time for some ‘backpack’ rap or definitely some ‘conscious’ rap. He has to look out for Barack as well as himself.
    @ Ermy Erm, I hear you.
    @ Ddub, you wrote, “Luda should come out against his own song and claim that he actually recorded it during the primaries and doesn’t harbor any ill feelings towards Clinton.
    He should also acknowledge McCain’s war hero status–before ripping into his wack policies. Just my political 2 cents.”
    I hear you on that, too. That might not be a bad idea on how to finesse this issue so that it doesn’t continue to hurt Barack and it doesn’t hurt Ludacris. Or something similar to it without lying about when he wrote it.
    *********** By the way, big ups to all the brothers who have come into this thread and spoken with maturity, about maturity. Thank you for speaking as Original Men. ***************
    JUST SAYIN blogger you just summed everything up in your post at 9:15!!! some of us just don’t get it and it saddens me as a black person!! Also, TOTALLY agree with what you said about “I love me some black people but I hate me some Niggas” A friend and I have this discussion all the time about prejudice towards our race because of the ignorant foolish acts they pull like crackheads!!
    But it’s a black website and touts itself as such. Regardless of the color of the posters, the image of bossip is black and it will be treated as such when it comes to handlers wanting a glimpse into the black mindset.
    By the way–I really like your new avatar! You look great!
    Luda is right, F that B Hilary. I am glad she is fading into the background where she belongs. Nobody wants you or your husband in office anymore, they are DIRTY. McCain LOL. I can do nothing but laugh at him, he is the republicans chance, that is just pitiful which is exactly the state of there party. Republicans we are through with you and your party is also. Obama had to say this or else he would loose votes.
  91. YOU *&%#'S TO LAZY TO MAKE UP ISSHH THEY CRAZY, THEY DONT PAINT PICTURES THEY JUST TRACE ME(sxyQblondie)
    I BELIEVE THAT LUDA HAD THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT HE CHOSE TO SAY, AS DOES EVERYONE ELSE. HOWEVER, IT WAS THE TIMING IN WHICH HE CHOSE TO SAY IT, THAT CAUSED THE REAL ISSUE. YOU SEE WE STAND BEHIND INDIVIDUALS WHEN THEY SAY WHAT WE WISH WE COULD SAY OPENLY. BUT DO TO THE FACT THAT WE DO LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE THEY DO NOT WISH TO SEE A BLACK MAN RUNNING IT, ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH HIS BLACKNESS, COULD THROW HEAT ON HIM. THATS JUST HOW THEY PLAY. I’M SURE LUDA DIDNT THINK THAT IT WOULD DO MAJOR DAMAGE, HENCE THE REASON WHY WE MUST THINK BEFORE WE SPEAK. BUT HOW MANY TIMES HAVE SOME OF YOU SAID SOMETHING, AND THAT ONE SENTENCE CAUSED A RAWKUS OF CONFUSION, AND THEN YOU WISH YOU COULD REEL IT BACK? NOT BECAUSE YOU DIDNT MEAN IT, BUT BECAUSE IT WAS 1) BAD TIMING OR 2) THE CAUSE OF CONFUSION AT THAT TIME. ALL LUDA DID WAS SAY WHAT ALOT OF YOU WERE THINKING, AND SAYING IN YOUR VERY OWN HOMES. HE JUST PICKED BAD TIMING..(CONSIDERING THE POSITION HE HOLDS, AND BEING ABLE TO VOICE HIS OPINION TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN VIA THE HIP HOP MASSES) IF A WHITE PERSON WHOULD HAVE DONE IT, CALLED HILLARY A BITCH, THEY WOULDNT BE POINTING AT OBAMA. THEY PROBABLY WOULD HAVE FOUND IT COMICAL.
  92. Just Sayin….zactly ..well said…mind ya manners and ya p’s and q’s…..which by the way stands for pints and quarts…used by irish/scottish/english bar keeps when the drinking crowd got a lil rowdy they would often yell okay every body mind your pints and quarts..obvious drinking measures…which over the years has been shortened to p’s and q’s and means nothing of the sort….just some random knowledge to move the day along and show that we know a lil something… V dueces V
  94. jrod
    Oh now everyone’s ganging up on luda. He was just saying the same shit that most of the retards including the bossip staff say on here on the regular. I wonder what Barack would have to say about the brainless posts and comments left on this site.
  95. Kesha
    His intentions were good, but he gets a C for effort. I think its important that many of todays artist take an active role in politics, to show their support and help make a difference in the country. However, after the whole Jeremiah Wright thing, he should’ve known better. Please wait until the man gets in office before we start blasting his opponents because he will be the one held most accountable for other people’s actions. It only hurts his campaign. Its just common sense.
  96. dubya
    Nita:
    Did I say to the contrary? No, I did not. Of course Obama has the right to break ties. I personally would if his words might hinder my campaign but Luda has an equal right to express himself and should not censor himself for the sake of a political election.
    Obama is getting flack because he recently named Luda as an great artist.
  97. Ermy Erm
    LOL Wyze…. that was cute…thank you for that lesson
  98. I am sure Luda’s intensions were in the best interest of Obama…he was showing him some support; but ironically it was opposite of that!
    You have to understand that these people are looking for even specks of dust to put on Obama since they can’t find any dirt! so you have to be careful in what you do and say…
    Obviously Obama doesn’t have to do anything for them to get at him… his supporters are the ones who fuck up…SMH
    anyone typing in ALL CAPS is automatically an idiot.
    I read your post…. and it is confirmed. you are an idiot.
    Learn the rules before you comment on the game. Polls are too close for undisciplined retards to monkey it up.
  101. there is no certain way to capsulize the black experience..cnn couldn’t do it in two days…roots could not do it in two weeks bet has never been able to do it…we are too vast and great to section off into compact lil descriptions and every time someone tries to define us we refine and redefine….then do it again…..rinse..repeat…so no…bossip doesn’t even come close to reppin the people…they rep the kind of people that Bossip are and that’s all…makes sense doesn’t it?
  102. Lou in the Chi
    Man yall are a bunch of hypocritical people. Whatever Luda said, y’all were all yelling the same thing. Read the Hillary or McCain posts. Ludacris is not a politician, he’s a rapper and can say whatever the heck he wants. Plenty of people were defending Lil Wayne (not all of you, but some posters who are now saying how messed up Luda is did agree) when he talked rowdy about Jesse. So what’s the damn difference. I agree with whoever said Barack did not have to comment. That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. That’s what you get when you want rappers to be our leaders. The don’t know much just speak from feelings, and that’s their right. We did not elect them and should not hold them accountable for the personal viewpoints. Now I could see if Obama had this song as his anthem at his rally’s but he doesn’t. So stop buying into the propoganda people. Damn.
  103. The very notion that we are discussing this is ridiculous. Saturday Night Live does “political skits” repeatedly and I’ve never heard one politician questioned about it.
    All of the “political pundits” out there and they don’t have to “denounce” any of it. What media oultet “reported” this as a “news story?”
    NIKKI,
    I’m here as you correctly predicted, and when I heard this last night, I was shocked at my boo-boo Luda. I wish he had been more tactful in his verses. He does have the right to say what he wants to say, and Obama has the right not to co-sign.
    Luda can ALWAYS still get it though…
    Hi, Lou. The difference is that:
    a) Jesse was a hypocrite who talked b.s. about burying the n-word, and extorting good money out of people for uttering the word — then turning around and using it against Barack when he thought no one was listening (while stupid *ss Julian Bonds just nodded his head);
    b) Jesse did not big up Weezy by claiming that Weezy was on his iPod.
    c) Weezy wasn’t attempting to big-up Jesse and boost Jesse up; Weezy was condemning Jesse.
    Meanwhile,
    a) Obama is trying to run a ‘different’ campaign, and called out blacks as well as whites in his famous speech on race this past spring,
    b) Obama big upped Luda (among a couple others) by saying Luda was on his iPod and that he liked Luda’s music
    c) Luda was trying to prop Obama up, street style. Obama is not trying to be president of the Streets, though, and if he were, he’d end up just like Dave Chappelle’s Wall-Street-to-Bum-on-the-Street character in that infamous ‘when keeping it real goes wrong’ sketch.
    Luda should have handled the song differently. This is a learning experience. That’s all.
    AS THIS IS A BLOG, AND EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION, AND FREE TO STATE SUCH. JUST AS I HAVE DONE, AND INTEND TO CONTINUE DOING. WHAT HUMORS ME IN YOUR RESPONSE TO MY COMMENT IS THE FACT THAT YOU DID NOT COME AT ME “INTELLIGENTLY” WITH ANY POINTS TO SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM OF NOT AGREEING WITH ME. NO. YOU CHOSE NAME CALLING AND ADDRESSING THE FACT THAT I TYPE IN CAPS. HMMMMMMMM. ASSUMING THAT IT IS OBVIOUS THAT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY TO SUPPORT AN ARGUMENT THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY DO NOT HAVE, THEN THERE IS NO NEED FOR ME TO GO BACK AND FORTH WITH YOU.   113. BB
    Politics is all about public relations, and Luda knows full well the power of PR. SHoot, have you ever seen him do a “Stay in school” Public Service Announcement? It would hurt his image, would he ever come out and say Hip Hop is unfair to women and gays, it would hurt his stature as a hip-hop artist.
    With that being said he knew exactly what he was doing, a J. Wright move. Please black celebrities, if you’re checking this blog, don’t represent for Obama unless you plan to say something intelligent and do it articulately…(Beyowulf, Weezy, MJB, Flava Flav et al.)
