Sorry bro, but I gotta disagree with this statement. It’s not about competing. It is about the Black men who refuse to date Black women PERIOD or act as if White women are god’s gift to the Black man due to the color of their skin. Therein lies the problem. It also is a matter of loyalty. In general, Black women have far more loyalty towards Black men than what a lot of Black men reciprocate (notice that I did not say ALL). THAT is the issue at hand.
Some brothas have a bad experience and all of a sudden they no longer want to date Black women. They judge the majority of us by the actions of a few, and good Black women don’t appreciate it. Rather than use a bad experience with a Black woman as an excuse to run into the White woman’s arms, why not chop up a bad experience as just that: a poor experience with ONE woman and move on to the next Black queen?
It infuriates Black women when Black men place White women on a pedestal as if they are “better.” I have heard all kinds of ridiculous comments on this site that vilify Black women and it is disgusting and offensive. What hurts us the most is that this comes from OUR OWN MEN. There is no excuse for such behavior.
Some brothers forsake the beautiful Black woman for a White woman of subpar class. For instance, Reggie Bush gets a lot of slack because he has chosen a White woman of poor quality. KK may be beautiful, but she has put a lot of miles on the kitty.
I don’t have a problem with interracial dating, unless it is done exclusively. I have dated outside of my race before, but I do know that for me, NO ONE can provide a better match for me than a strong Black man. Most sistas wish that the brothas would realize and appreciate that as well.

Now I am not speaking from personal experience. Rather, I am talking about conversations that I have had with Black men and my observations of their behavior.
I attend a public university with over 44,000 students; of that 44,000, only 1500 are Black. Many Black men that I have come into contact with make it their business to continually put down the Black woman. I had one tell me that when he “makes it” he is going to “get him one of these White girls” because while he was poor the sistas didn’t want to have anything “to do” with him. Notably, this was simply because he was unable to attract the ONE Black girl that he had been interested in during undergrad. I would also like to note that this is ONE example of such behavior that I can name, I just don’t have the time to play Mr. Rogers and participate in an exercise in story telling. If you need more examples, you don’t need to go far. Check out this site. Unfortunately, some of the brothas on here hate on the sistas, and thereby, their fuckery gives credence to my point.

Why do they feel that Black women should be more in love with white female celebrities to the point that they never say anything negative about them…when white people don’t even like them. I agree 100% with Hmmmm it does seem to be a double standard when it is an African-American woman dating outside of her race as apposed to an brotha. I understand somewhat of what @ters says, but how do you know if Reggie Bush (or whomever) strictly prefers to date outside of his race? Or for that matter, how do you know Paula Patterson doesn’t prefer to date white men? The fact of the matter is we have no idea most of these celebrities and athletes preferences, nobody on this site knows how many sistas Reggie has dated before KK, or T.O. or anyone for that matter. But the initial impression for many black women when looking at a black man with a white woman is “He is soft” or “He’s a sellout” these comments will be made even without knowing his past dating habits. For all we know this could be the first time he has ever dated a white woman. Adversely, the overwhelming sediment when viewing this photo was one of a beautiful couple enjoying themselves. No hate, no name calling just admiring a nice couple. If you fail to see a double standard here then you are just failing to look from a non-partisan standpoint.

Justin it is simple math. Maybe you weren’t good at math in school? Well lemme explain it YET again…there are about 70% of women who come to this site. Maybe 60% of them are Black. Those are the people whose comments you will see the most. Some will say nice things about interracial relationships and some will not. But overall you will have a larger number of negative comments (whether it be about BLACK BEYONCE, BLACK FOXY BROWN, BLACK REMY MA who all get roasted all the time) cominig from Black women as well as more positive comments coming from them as well. If these women have never seen the BLack celebrity dating another Black celebrity they will think they don’t like to date them. If they see a MIXED celebrity dating a non Black celeb there will be less bad things said about them as they are seen to be of another race anyway. Seal was known to date BLACK Tyra Banks and then date WHITE Heidi Klum and that couple doesn’t get roasted.

Thank you for referencing the celebrity stories on “Bossip” and the people that comment. Do you think this would reflect more accurately than numerous statistical models? Maybe you have a different mathematical methodology that demonstrates “some” black men’s preference for another race. If so please provide I am willing to learn (again, no sarcasm).

They actually do provide the statistics on interracial relationships via the census. It is easy to find..just google it. It clearly states that though Black men are outnumbered by their women they date outside of their race more often. However they are not the highest on the totem pole of races of men who date outside their race and do overwhelmingly date and marry black women. So this notion that Black men prefer white women is just as false as the notion that Black women hate all white women because they are always with Black men.
Like I always say, if you are Black and don’t EVER address the women who say nasty things about Remy Ma, Superhead, Lil Kim, Khia etc…then why are you defending Kim Kardashian or Coco unless you prefer them for their race?
