UK Cops Get Out of Pocket Too

While exiting a train Bournemouth [UK] station recently, Rapper Nzube Udezue, 21, a University of Oxford graduate, was ordered to lie face-down and was handcuffed by armed police. In this case of this mistaken identity, the police surrounded him and treated him like a high level threat. In his words:
“It took me a couple of seconds to realise that it was me that all those guns were aimed at. “I honestly felt like I’d stepped off the train and into a really bad dream.
“I’m shocked, confused, scared and embarrassed all at the same time.”Most of the bystanders had vacated the platform by now, by police order.
“And I’m not talking about normal police either. This is the Specialist Firearms Unit, about eight of them, machine guns, bullet proof vests, police dogs and all. “And they’re here to arrest me!”
Allegedly, Udezue was told that he was being arrested on suspicion of a “section one firearms incident”. He’s lucky to be alive. If that same shyte went down here in the good ole U.S. of A., those pigs would’ve shot him down before he even got his foot on the damn platform. SMH.

ok i looked it up..he was wearing a black t-shirt with orange writing and that is what the suspect was wearing(alledgedly)…& the transport police notified the real police bcuz he matched the descripition of the actual suspect..
A few years ago it ended badly for a Brazilia National. He got Shot in the UK and it was a matter of mistaken Identity
These fools are getting crazy world wide…all they had to say was tit was mistaken identity…bull shyte (as bossip says) I hope he can take legal action against them…or at least get this story more publizied they need to make a public apology to him.

I don’t see what the big uproar is about? he fit a description and got dealt with, and released immediately when the police realised it was a case of mistaken identity! there is waaaaaay too much gun violence in the UK at the moment and people moan when the police don’t do nothing!!

I read about this in the papers, being in the UK. It doesn’t happen so often over here, so it was more or a shock and novelty. He didn’t actually match the police description very well, but they jacked him up anyway!
Honestly, I’ve been in the UK and watched a few guys (white guys) get arrested, and they’ll take you down! I’m glad he didn’t get the batons. They don’t use guns over there, so I’m so so thankful he’s okay.

First off there was a gun incident earlier that he matched the description of. Secondly if he is a suspected armed suspect are they suppose to just talk to him and ask him to turn himself in? The police did their job and unless you know what its like to approach a person and not know whether you are gonna be shot or not you cant say any thing. It wasn’t like the cops just randomly decided to fuck this dudes day up like bossip put. Yet again people claim racism for no reason.

The force said a senior officer had visited Mr Udezue and his family and that an apology had been made.
“Dorset Police are continuing to provide ongoing support to the innocent man - as well as his family - after the appointment of a dedicated family liaison officer,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, the IPCC has requested Dorset Police’s Professional Standards Department investigate the three forces involved - Dorset, Hampshire and BTP.
The level of response is what’s alarming….

they could have taken him into custody without that much force but it’s okay we understand why we rationalize situations such as these…..we rationalize sh#t we can’t control or change….if he had tried to run or panicked and made the wrong move he could have been dead! and it would have been the wrong person killed-duh

For this incident, yes they did have guns. Buy from what I’ve seen (and true, I don’t live there, I was only there a month), they’ll take down suspects with batons unless they believe they have a weapon on them. It’s pretty brutal. I’m glad he didn’t resist arrest or it would have been worse.
I’m the type to pop off at the mouth and would have ended up knocked out and under arrest.
And what trips me out is cops are always “out of pocket” until your ass needs help then you’ll be screaming for them. If you hate cops your a fucking idiot.

people its the UK - gun incidents are rare so they are dealt with severely and quickly. he matched a description - they took him down - realized he was innocent and let him go w/ apologies.

The same situation happened to me when I lived in the UK. I know if it would have been in New York or Philadelphia, I would have been shot 100 times, my body turned over and shot an additional 100 times. But I have to say, that before the UK police kill you, they’re very polite in their demands!
