Kimora had her way in court recently:
Each of the hip-hop mogul’s two girls with estranged wife Kimora Lee is set to receive $20,000 a month in child support. That’s a total of $480,000 each year for kids who already live in a palatial $24 million estate in Saddle River, N.J. Their mom, a former model, is CEO of the Baby Phat fashion house. The agreement shows that until 2019, Russell Simmons will continue payments for Ming Lee, now 8, and, until 2022, for Aoki, now 5.
Kimora Lee, 33, filed for divorce in March after nine years of marriage. She’s asking for primary custody of the girls and that Russell, 50, be granted “reasonable child visitation … accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel.”
Kimora is playing hardball with ole BDR. Let’s see if she wins the next round. Developing…

NY News is not reporting this divorce to be halfway as nasty as it is potrayed here. The girls, as sad as it may be, have ALWAYS had a nanny and are in some ways raised more by the nanny as their parents were busy with the fashion scene. Also, because of the high profile of their parents, the girls have always had a security detail. The divorce proceedings are just making it FORMAL and stating that these services must remain in tact….given that they are provided in the home, they must be provided when the girls are outside of the home….even when they are with their father. It is standard to put provisions like this in a divorce proceeding…that way the kids are always taken care of first.

Don’t forget that they are HIS children also. I mean, granted I (we) don’t know the intimate details about Russ’s parenting skills, but if restricted visitation is warranted this would mean legally (in NJ anyway) he or his surroundings present some sort of danger to his children. If thats the case, then so be it. If not, he deserves to spend the time with his children unobstructed. The love of a parent (mother or father) is worth more than the money anyway. As far as the benjamins go, legally speaking (in NJ, laws differ from state to state) the court only considers the income of the person paying the child support so Kimora’s cake is irrelevant.
And i agree…the visitation is a lil shady…ok really shady. He should get to see them girls anytime he wants regardless of how Kim feels. But we dont know all the details either

Kimora is NOT trying to secure her children’s future. Those girls would be well taken care of for LIFE, even if Russell died yesterday and Kimora found out he had nothing left.
This is obviously a case of a bitter woman trying to get back at her ex for some undisclosed reason. Since Russell was already in another relationship before Kimora was, I strongly believe it’s because of his new girlfriend.
It’s a shame, because I really used to like Kimora since she seemed like a woman who wanted to work for her own instead of sitting on her behind just living off of someone else, but to put visitation restrictions on this man like this is just a petty slap in the face.

Are you kidding me?! Punishment?! The courts uses a FORMULA and other factors to determine the exact amount a child receives in child support. It is not about punishment and that is the problem with a lot of men when it comes to paying child support. They think the “man” and the ex is out to get them. Please!
