Another case of inappropriate attire for the youngins. 17 year old Marche Taylor unsuccessfully tried to hit up her prom in full hoochie-mode this weekend:
“Instead of a night of dancing and hanging out with friends, the Madison High School senior ended in a confrontation with school officials and her being escorted out in handcuffs. All because school officials said her dress was inappropriate for the school prom.”
They arrested the wrong person. Her folks should’ve been locked up for letting her walk out looking like a damned two-dollar hussy. Trifling.

I saw this on CNN and it’s so “not newsworthy”. This girl’s parents should be sentenced to 2 years of community service for allowing their own daughter to go out in public looking like trash. If she dresses like this and still lives at home (I’m assuming), goodness only knows how she’ll dress when she’s on her own. This is so tacky and a seriously terrible reflection on self-esteem. This was for her prom not the “ho stroll”; talk about being young, black and dumb.

Poor Thing, she obviously lacks self respect and decoroum. Her parents (both the mother and the father) are equally at fault. Daughters need an active Father as much as they need an active Mother. A Mother is the first female role model and a Father enforces all of that for the Daughter. A Mother and Father working together would have taught their Daughter that class means dressing tastefully and age appropriately is the only option. Two parents working together would have raised a Daughter who would nto be running off at the mouth to adults and policeman when they are in the WRONG.

In some places, the girls wear this nasty attire, and parade down the street with their date, strutting proud with parents (or parent most likely) taking pictures. These dresses are usually homemade, and it seems that there is no kind of training as to what is appropriate. It’s a prom, not the Player Hater’s Ball.

Many schools have prom contracts that address attire, underage drinking, post-prom behavior, etc. I don’t know - so many solutions are 20/20 when you think about them after the problem has occurred.

I come from Demoplis, Alabama and was raised there partially. I come from a good family. Moved to NYC while still in school with my parents. Finished college and work as an assistant to ceo for a large financial firm. But, down there i seen people with class and money and i seen ignorant ass people. I come to new york and i see ignorant ass mofos here too. In fact more so. I will say this though, the diff is even if you are poor down south…they still have manners and some home training. Not as much as they do up here. Thats just from my experiences.
