Mr. Obama picked up endorsements on Friday from three more superdelegates, the Democratic Party insiders who are granted autonomy to support whomever they wish at the convention in August. What’s interesting to me is how many people compare this election to others in history. NEWS FLASH this is like no other election in American history. What was the norm in prior democratic victories does not necessarily apply to this race. I wish the comparisons to the past would cease and that people would treat this race like the unique experience it is. For once I feel like we have a voice and a hope of a better tomorrow. This is not the 40’s or 50’s where we had no voice it is now our time to speak and I know we can upset traditions and change our future together.

The media, including this website is going to put McCain in the White House. BARRACK OBAMA CANNOT WIN without Hillary supporters like myself, including the “uneducated” voters. The Democratic party is so divided, I’m not sure if wounds could be healed in time. Millions of women who voted for Hillary because she was the first viable female candidate who ran a close race, feel she was treated unfairly as a whole, and are bitter about this whole thing. The white working class as a whole and the “uneducated” are not connecting with Obama and are still offended by his words. And those like myself who is a Black Democrat who had his people turn on me (like certain black politicians who have not only been threatened to be voted out of office, but have had their lives threatened as well if they didn’t support Obama), resulting in my having no enthusiasm about voting for him. Besides, people talk about the shadyness of Hillary’s campaign but the out right VICIOUSNESS of Obama’s supporters and those he pays to do his dirty work while he paints himself as an angel, has been some of the worst I’ve ever seen.
Calling Hillary out of her name, labeling her as a racist, which she is clearly not, and creating divisive headlines is doing nothing to help her supporters move over to Obamas side. My family has already decided not to vote in November if Obama gets the nomination, and I’m sure they aren’t the only ones.
People say racists will never vote for Obama, but the Obama camp should be more concerned about bitter Hillary supporters who may not come out to vote for him. It’s time for all the Obama supporters to look at the bigger picture and realize Obama can’t win without us, and little progress is being made to helf with that.
So continue to turn Clinton supporters off and see where this country end up.

I’m sorry, but I have to strongly object to your characterization of Obama supporters as vicious and divisive when Hillary herself is guilty of playing a cruel game of racial politics, to the point of nearly dirtying her opponent to the point that neither of them stands a chance against McCain. Hillary is so divisive, in fact, that she may single-handedly be responsible for the unraveling of the party.
I posted an excerpt from today’s Wall Street op-ed by Peggy Noonan on the other Obama thread today, but it bears repeating:
“The Democratic Party can’t celebrate the triumph of Barack Obama because the Democratic Party is busy having a breakdown. You could call it a breakdown over the issues of race and gender, but its real source is simply Hillary Clinton. Whose entire campaign at this point is about exploiting race and gender.”
I understand there is some initiative being explored by the Obama people to pay of the Clinton’s remaining campaign debt. They are actually considering it just so she won’t continue with her bigotted nonsenscial campaign.

Hillary has a lot of people’s hands tied at this point with her antics. She refuses to leave quietly and is damaging the party, which is becoming increasingly polarized. This is evident in Hillary for example, you would think if she gave a crap about the little people she would pack her bags and go and leave Barack to get the democratic nod. But, she wont. And just like all the others, she only has one agenda. To do everything for herself and the people like her, and nothing for the hard workers (regardless of colour) in this country. Barack is no different and is just the other side of the coin. So is McCain. All these people care about is money, big business, and depleting the already damaged and dying economy.

You need to realize that if! Hillary was to be the Democratic Nominee, she too cannot win w/out the 91% of African American Barack supporters. I think you’re right that a win in W. Va. would add fuel to Hills’ fire — I think that may be why there has been so much movement among the superdelegates this week. I think people really want this to come to an end as soon as possible, if not by May 20 (when Obama says he will make his victory remarks), then certainly by early June.

That 60 Minutes interview was horrible, wasn’t it? I cringed when that man said he heard Obama was a Muslim. And, yes, she’s playing upon the ignorance and misconceptions harbored by some of her supporters, and although it’s politics, it’s shameful. By the way, Obama said this today in response to a reporter’s question about Hillary as the vp candidate, according to the NY Times:

Yes, I think the Clintons are up to something. Although I really want May 20 to be the end of the primary race, I doubt that that will be the true end of all this. I think Hills wants this to go to the superdelegates, and she’s still lobbying them hard, as evidenced by the letter she had her supporters in the House send to superdelegates today.
