Big Boi Does Ballet

Those OutKast brotha’s are some strange dudes. Now Big Boi is doing Ballet. He’s joined forces with the Atlanta Ballet Company to present a performance called “Big”:
‘”Its very moving, sophisticated, elegant but at the same time it will tear your back off,’” Big Boi said.”
Umm…Yeah…If you say so Big Boi. Stay tuned to Bossip for pics from “Big” which debuts tonight in Atlanta. We’ll reserve judgment until that time - but the gloves are comin’ off if he’s sportin’ a unitard and a tutu.

I actually went to one of the rehersals, Big Boi is not actually dancing and doing tinkerbell moves’, the show is beautiful, its not boring, it also features Janelle Monae!

I’ve seen clips of the performances and they’re very well choreographed. Big Boi isn’t dancing - get a clue.
This seems very interesting and different. That’s what i love about those OutKast boys! I highly doubt if Big B will be dressed like a little fruity fart. I hope I have the opportunity to check it out. Him is sexy!

I have tickets for tonight (hosted by Queen Latifah btw)…I’m looking forward to it…Big Boi is not dancing, he is the music and inspiration behind the piece…also performing, while the dancers dance, are janelle monae and sleepy brown. Should be a very entertaining show…smart move by the Atlanta Ballet to garner interest in the arts.

Big Boi should have done BIG with an African-American dance company like Ballethnic, the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Philadanco, or Ron Brown’s company. This should have been part of the National Black Arts Festival (July 2008).
The Atlanta Ballet does NOT interpret/move rhthmically well to convey the soul of Big Boi’s music. Yes, I’ve seen the performance in rehearsals. Atlanta Ballet is a white company and they dance on toe. BORING!
