Rick Ross Talks Politics

Posted by Bossip Staff

rickyross45

In an interview with AHH Rick Ross talks about Barack Obama:

He is the one. He is. It’s time for a change. I call myself a realist. I accept s**t for what it is, reality. A lot of people mad at Bush but I ain’t. I understand it’s business, one big business. He going out for the dollar but let me in on it. You went to Iraq after the oil, give us a little kick back. Show us a little love. We riding with you, the soldiers riding with you, show us some love. Don’t go take all their s**t then raise gas another dollar a gallon. That aint trill.

I think Barack understands the team. It’s a team and teamwork makes the dream work. I make records the DJ’s play it. Bush you calling the shots, the soldiers are putting the work and Halliburton getting all the money. You ain’t breaking the bread. That’s the problem with Bush. I ain’t mad at him, you got to handle you’re business. I too enjoy riding around in Mercedes’ eating McDonald’s. We can only afford that luxury because the country is set up the way it is. I understand and respect that. But we went up in there and you’re taking all the money. Break bread because n****s is hungry, n****s starving. It’s rough in the streets. That’s all I’m saying. He done f***ed up enough. Let Barack in. He can’t f**k up no more than this guy.

Let my man get his opportunity. Let a Democrat get in there. I ain’t going to lie, it just seems like life was smoother for muthaf***as when Clinton was in office. Was it just me? Am I the only one? Am I the only n***a being affected by these people? And me being from Florida, all the muthaf***as who went out and voted know they took the elections. You know what, cool, you took that election. You’re the big boss. I understand the boss role but show that love. Kick that money back and help these people out here. That’s what your job is being in control of America. Bush family is good. His daddy is good. They’re in with the Saudi’s and all that, that’s good. But what about everybody else? That’s where Bush f***ed up. I’m going to keep it real, nobody give a shit about that war. Out of sight is out of mind as far as most people are concerned. They read that little s**t at the bottom of the screen on CNN “18,000 soldiers dead.” They don’t give a f**k unless it’s some of their family members. They just want when they go to the gas pump that $10 means something. That’s not what’s happening so I can’t f**k with Bush on that tip. I’m thinking business but don’t f**k me. I’m a Democrat thinking Republican.

I never posted on Bossip before but Ross is speaking the truth. The country is one big corporation and Bush is the CEO. He out there making all the bread and not taking care of the people like how Jay-Z was jerking the artists on DefJam not giving them that promo money. Unless Bush think that little $600 stimulus bread we supposed to be getting back is his definition of breaking bread. People losing their homes and there’s a decline in new jobs. It’s crazy out here. U gotta get it however u get it.

I’m riding w/ Rick’s politics except when he says, “Bush done f***ed up enough. Let Barack in. He can’t f**k up no more than this guy.” Trust when I tell you that when Obama does get, if he doesn’t manage to line the streets w/ gold, he’s gonna get blamed for EVERYTHING from the war in Iraq to Bey’s bad wig game.

He is speaking the truth, I won’t even go into details beacause I’m not trying to have the FBI knocking on my door. But the ECONOMY is really bad a few hundred dollars isn’t going to help much. The economy even affects me and I’m under 21. The foreclosure rates are higher than normal, also the unemployment rate. It’s sad that while the RICH GET RICH, THE POOR GET POORER. WE ARE IN THE DEPRESSION NOW! Don’t be suprised if prostituyion and other criminal activities get sigificantly higher, because money is the root of all evil. Also if someone can’t get a job and they have a family or whatnot, fuck morals or the law, they are going to do what they do. And that’s real talk.

    @ PIGFEET…

Some news reports have already pointed at the fact that due to the worsening economy, the crime rate will begin to escalate again. It’s no surprise that in the last few years as the economy progressed upwards the crime rate dropped. Economists are looking for the opposite effect to occur as the economy worsens. And there won’t be a better litmus test than New York City!!

I’ve always thought the Republican party was selfish. It is very cliche for me to think that but most republicans continue to prove my theories correct (when it comes to policies and such). Bush ain’t no different.

Although I concur with Rick Ross on his main point of view, I hardly think he is suffering with how to pay the mortgage of his home if he can afford that gaudy piece of jewelry around his neck.

  15. (Check me out!)

He’s right with that “outta sight outta mind” statement. I want to be concerned about the war, but the bottom line is…I don’t know anyone in the military. That’s not my reality. Bush going over there was a complete failure of imagination. Countries should have the right to progress at their own pace.

OK, I was with him for some of that diatribe. However, he lost me w/this:

But what about everybody else? That’s where Bush f***ed up. I’m going to keep it real, nobody give a shit about that war. Out of sight is out of mind as far as most people are concerned. They just want when they go to the gas pump that $10 means something.

This country is in a worse state than I thought if all we can think about is how much gas costs. I think the war is out of sight out of mind to a lot of the “majority population” because they aren’t the ones fighting. We need to pay attention because they will continue to send the poor black, brown, and whites over there to die in the name of “spreading democracy”.

“I hardly think he is suffering with how to pay the mortgage of his home if he can afford that gaudy piece of jewelry around his neck.”

While I agree w/ your assessment, those are the exact types of people that we need to voice their opinions. The middle class can protest and write in to their elected politicians all they want, but the minute someone like Oprah says, “mortgages are a problem!” You best believe that politicians and the country WILL take notice. Not saying that Rick Ross, per se, will have that effect but generally speaking, it HAS to be those that might not be suffering that need to chime in on the concerns of those that are not in such an affluent position. Feel me?

“This country is in a worse state than I thought if all we can think about is how much gas costs.”

I think Rick used a poor analogy when he equated high gas prices w/ the prices at the pump, a more effective analogy would have been people unable to heat their homes because of the high gas prices.
But I do co-sign w/ your assessment of us needing to pay attention as those in power keep sending “the poor black, brown, and whites over there to die in the name of “spreading democracy”.”

Some of you who diss hip hop and said that he needs to go back to school because he curses dont even know about that, YOU keep it trill. That brother is far from ignorant thats for sure. Bush is greedy. Thats why we’re at war. Point blank period. To have thousands of people, American AND Iraqi’s AND every other allie, that we dragged into this war killed because of greed is horrible. Kills me when people say “things were better with Clinton” but can’t really point out what exactly Clinton did. This dude went on Arsenio, played the sax and black folks fell in love. Was the economy better? Yea but it had nothing to do with Clinton, internet business just started poppin off and that drove the economy in the Clinton years. Until the dot com bubble burst. Clinton never advanced the healthcare agenda, didn’t do anything drive low income housing, didn’t advance the democratic party (dems lost control of congress under his watch) or do anything else that would “help black folks.” Lets not automatically feel like we need the good ole white folks to help. Clintons had there turn, time to make a change.

This is what you get when a dick in the bush gets in office.

  54. gravatar NotoriousOne
    (Check me out!)

    @ KJF…

Let me first say that I am in total agreement w/ you regarding your statement, “time to make a change.” Which is one of the main reasons I’m an avid OBAMA supporter. But I dissent w/ your opinion of the Clinton years. Aside from the internet business being in a boom there were other factors that served to make it for a flourishing economy. Personally speaking, very little of my investments were internet related and yet I saw a noticeable profit on all my investments, which is far more than I can say for the returns I’ve seen on my investments in the last 8 or so years.
As for the healthcare agenda, NO politician is going to advance that agenda because the pharmaceutical lobby is too strong. It’s a great sound-byte for any politician but if you follow politics closely you’ll come to the realization that too many senators are being influenced, ie, paid off, by the pharmaceutical lobby. Low-income housing is more of a state controlled issue, even though on the federal level the gov’t has been instrumental w/ both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending.
With all that said I don’t think Hillary will be the same as Bill and therefore I do not support her campaign. But I can’t knock Bill for his tenure as POTUS.

Wake up folks!!!!!!!! The Clinton era was a good time for blacks simply because of timing; The computer industry contributed to the growing economy and the revolution of IT jobs in the U.S.; jobs were NOT outsourced to low-bid oversees companies. The Clinton’s sat in office and did surface cleaning; Bill delegated most of his responsibilities to get his dick sucked. Hillary sat on health care because… well, she wasn’t sick Chelsea seem fine and got her braces, and Bill…….. well she was fed up with his shit and didn’t care if he pissed blood. Hillary and Bill developed a business marriage for political ambitions — I don’t think they even fuck. And here we are, being blinded without acknowledging that timing was of essence.

    Makes sense to me….

  90. gravatar trayy369

To hear Rick Ross speak upon political views is like hearing a poor mans finacial views. Nothing he spoke could be considered intelligent. His views are based on the typical liberal views ” Bush got Haliburton all rich and shit”,Nigga please, Exxon Mobile might be pulling a profit but is that not the american dream. Are we not in business to make a profit. Capitalism is the only answer for this country, Obama and Hilary for that matter are all about change. what they don’t tell you is that change will come at a higher cost. National Healthcare, Social Security, Economic Refurbishing… the list goes on and who do you think will be paying for all of that? WE WILL. Check what they have planed for this country in their book anyone making more than 50 grand a year will be taxed extra just to cover social expenses. Cliton and Obama ask for change to better our country but nothing they say is relavent to everyday americans. Don’t think I dick riding on the Repulican vote, McCain is just as bad. His views on illegal citizens and social views are almost parallel to the other liberal 2.

Respect to the Brotha cause he’s doin’ his thing but…

I can’t equate eating McDonald’s with anything luxurious other than maybe 2 ply tissue.

I can’t understand the concept of a “Democrat thinking Republican”. Wtf? Is that like Black White person or a fat skinny person or hot iced tea or happy depression?

& I can’t for the life of me, ever, never, ever, imagine this nigga starving. Ever. Maybe the other Hatians that came off the bopat with him but not HIM. (I’m Creole so I can say that) Don’t diss Hatians-Do y’all know how hard them Black folks have it: Shit, Haiti has one of the lowest life expectancies of any nation-industrialized or not. & they were the ones who actually overthrew their slavemasters & started their own country-word to Toussaint Overture (sp?). Props to Ricky Ross for makin’ it & providing opportunities for others who otherwise may never have a chance. Good lookin’ on speakin’ on the world. Kids look up to dude.

    Oops. I meant “boat” & L’overtoure (sp?).

I’d prefer my cousin to be home, but if he can’t please allow him to be protected while he’s there. Duh…

Most are right, this country is one big business. What most Americans fail to realize though is that it is the business men, not Bush, or any president for that matter, that runs this country. It’s all about the privatization of the banking system. The Federal Reserve. Get your knowledge game up, please!
